The Halal restaurant was known for its platters, burgers, wings and barbecue fare.

According to a report on Northjersey.com, owner Adnan Khan Khan believes the closure is partially due to a partnership he made with another restaurant owner to use the Addy’s name and menu for an establishment in Elmont, NY.

Khan said he investment in the Elmont restaurant’s equipment and staff training, but ultimately the partnership didn’t work out and he plans to sue, the newspaper reported.

He told Northjersey.com the Elmont eatery was providing lower quality food and service, which hurt the brand name and caused many customers to not try the Teaneck or Astoria locations.
