Teaneck Flag Twirlers Represent NJ During Inauguration Parade
The Teaneck High School Flag Twirlers and Drumline were New Jersey's representatives during the Inauguration Day Parade Across America.

TEANECK, NJ — The Teaneck High School Flag Twirlers and Drum Line gave the Inauguration Day ceremonies a bit of local flavor Wednesday, when they served as the New Jersey representative during the Parade Across America.
For Superintendent of Schools Christopher Irving, the moment was a chance for the district students to show how the country how special they are.
"Having our high school students chosen to be a part of this historic day is an extraordinary honor," said Teaneck Public Schools Superintendent Christopher Irving. "The fact that we have been selected to represent the entire State of New Jersey in this Inaugural 'Parade Across America' brings tremendous pride to the Teaneck community. I have always known our students are exceptional. Now our Flag Twirlers and Drumline will demonstrate that for the entire country."

Rep. Josh Gottheimer, Rep. Bill Pascrell, Jr. and Rep. Mikie Sherrill all posted scenes and thoughts to social media, and Gottheimer was joined on Inauguration Day by Bergen County Sheriff Anthony Cureton.
"Today I had an opportunity to witness the renewal of democracy in our nation's capital. I now have faith in our commander and chief and his plan to reunite America on the principles of it's founding. Thank you to the Hon. Josh Gottheimer for extending me the invitation to celebrate a historic moment in America's history. God Bless America," wrote Cureton.

Rep. Bill Pascrell also posted photos from the ceremony, as well as a throwback from he and President Joe Biden's earlier days in government.
