TEANECK, NJ — The final COVID-19 vaccination at Teaneck's Richard Rodda Center will be administered on Sunday afternoon, township officials announced this week.

Vaccinations will continue in Teaneck at Holy Name Medical Center, but the joint effort between the township and the hospital at the Rodda Center is coming to a close.

A "clap out" is scheduled for Sunday at 3:30 p.m. to celebrate the Holy Name staff who worked to inoculate Bergen County residents since December 2020.

The Rodda Center began vaccinating Bergen County residents in January, and by March had vaccinated 50,000 people.

Anita Cruz, Director of Cardiovascular Services, was one of the staffers administering vaccines on opening day for county residents.

"It felt like I was giving people a Christmas present," said Cruz.
