Teaneck's Christina McHale Advances At Wimbledon

McHale defeated Great Britain's Katie Boulter.

TEANECK, NJ — Christina McHale has won her first-round Wimbledon match.

McHale, a Teaneck native, ranked No. 60th on the world, defeated Great Britain's Katie Boulter 3-6, 7-5, 6-3.

McHale has played in six championships. Her best finish was when she made it to the third round at Wimbledon in 2013.

McHale, who lives in Englewood Cliffs, has won more than $3.1 million since turning pro in 2010, according to Wimbledon.com.

McHale won her first professional tennis title in 2016 when she defeated Katerina Siniakova in the final of the Japan Women's Open Tennis.
