Two Dead After George Washington Bridge Crash: Bergen Prosecutor
An investigation is underway after two people died in a crash on the George Washington Bridge Thursday morning, officials announced.
FORT LEE, NJ — The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office is investigating after two people died in a car crash on the George Washington Bridge Thursday morning.
According to the Prosecutor's Office, Port Authority Police responded to a two-car crash on the lower level of the bridge shortly before 9:30 a.m. Thursday.
A Honda was stopped in the center median with "severe side and rear damage" while a Corvette was stopped in the right lane with front-end damage.

Police pronounced the passenger of the Honda, Bisere Frluckaj, 47, Bronx, New York, dead at the scene. The driver, Muharem Frluckaj, 52, also of the Bronx, was transported to Columbia Presbyterian Hospital, but died a short time later, authorities said.
The driver of the Corvette sustained minor injuries and was transported to Holy Name Hospital in Teaneck.

An investigation into the crash, conducted by the prosecutor's office and Port Authority Police, is ongoing.
