Verona's Andrew Luehs Wins North MVP: Phil Simms All-Star Classic
Luehs is the first Verona or Cedar Grove football player to be awarded MVP at the game since Cedar Grove Panther Joe Slattery won in 2014.
VERONA, NJ — Verona High School's Andrew Luehs competed in the 40th Annual Phil Simms North-South All-Star Football Classic on June 25th, 2018 at Kean University representing the North. Though the team came up short, falling to the South, 38-16, Luehs was recognized with the Dave Szott MVP award, which goes to the top offensive player.
