Details: A celebration of the culture of “making” in NJ by participating in the first annual New Jersey Makers Day. The library hosts a variety of events for adults and children that foster innovation and hands-on learning. FREE VIBRAPHONE AND CLASSICAL GUITAR CONCERT
When: Sunday, March 15, 4 p.m.
Where: Immaculate Conception Church, 1 Munn Street, Montclair
Details: Jerry Weir, Vibraphonist and Seth Himmelhoch, Classical Guitarist; an experienced duo that will present a variety of original music combining elements of classical and jazz music. The concert is free and open to the public. Read more on the church’s website.

MILLBURN FIREFIGHTERS TAKE ON MAYOR IN GUMBO COOK-OFF
When: Saturday, March 21, 6:30 p.m.
Where: Millburn Fire Department, 459 Essex St., Millburn
Details: Millburn firefighters and Mayor Robert Tillotson will pit their culinary skills against one another in a head-to-head Gumbo Cook-off to help promote brain injury awareness. The evening will feature a dinner buffet with kid-friendly menu options, entertainment and door prizes. Tickets are $25 per person and must be purchased in advance. COMES AS YOU ARE: ART OF THE 1990’s
When: On display until Sunday, May 17, during regular museum hours
Where: Montclair Art Museum, 3 South Mountain Ave., Montclair
Details: Showcasing approximately 60 works by 45 artists, the exhibit includes installations, paintings, sculptures, drawings, prints, photography, video, and digital art. Come as You Are offers an overview of art made in the United States between 1989 and 2001 - from the fall of the Berlin Wall to 9/11- and is organized around three principal themes: the “identity politics” debates, the digital revolution, and globalization.
