Body Found in Reservation ID'd as Millburn Man
Millburn resident, 47, and formerly a Bethlehem chaplain, was missing since summer, prosecutor says.

The earlier last week has been identified as Gregory Kongor, 47, of Millburn, Acting Essex County Prosecutor Carolyn A. Murray announced today.
Mr. Kongor previously resided in Bethlehem and Catasauqua, Pa.
Â
The investigation is active and ongoing but preliminary information indicates Mr. Kongor was living in Millburn at the time of his death, Murray said in a statement released Friday afternoon. It appears he had been missing since the summer, Murray said.
Â
His body was discovered in the woods of South Mountain Reservation by a woman walking her dog. The official cause of death is pending and detectives are still investigating. No other information is available at this time, Murray said.
Patch sent Kongor’s picture via email to Country Meadows retirement village in Bethlehem, Pa., where a coworker identified the picture as the same Gregory Kongor who worked as a chaplain there for five years before he left about a year ago. Kongor was orignally from Russia, but was a U.S. citizen and had changed his name to make it easier pronounce, she said.
She said he had only called once and said he was moving to New Jersey.
