Browns Pick Cedar Grove’s David Njoku: NFL Draft 2017
The Cleveland Browns selected former Cedar Grove football star and University of Miami tight end David Njoku.

CEDAR GROVE, NJ — The Cleveland Browns selected former Cedar Grove football star and University of Miami tight end David Njoku in the opening round of the 2017 NFL draft, reports say.
Njoku was the No. 29 overall pick in the 2017 draft. During his high school career in Cedar Grove, he had 76 receptions for 1,794 yards and 19 touchdowns.
Njoku (pronounced nJOE-koo), was also a national boys high jump champion, and has the “playmaking potential and elite traits” to possibly make him a future Pro Bowler, according to NFL.com.
