Car Thief Caught Hiding Inside Dumpster In Little Falls: Police
The man tried to escape an officer by foot and was found later hiding in a dumpster in Little Falls, according to Cedar Grove Police.

CEDAR GROVE, NJ — A man who stole a car from a driveway in Cedar Grove this Friday tried to escape police while leaving the area and ended up being found hiding in a dumpster in Little Falls later that morning, according to the Cedar Grove Police.
The car, a Pontiac G6, was reported stolen at 5:10 a.m., out of Winding Way.
An officer who was close by saw the car attempting to flee the area. When the driver noticed the police presence, he stopped the car and tried to reverse it away from the officer, crashing into a residential front lawn and narrowly missing two cars, including one with someone inside, police said.

He then escaped by foot towards the West Essex Trail.
Neighboring police departments were notified and the man was eventually found inside the dumpster by a Little Falls police officer.

He was taken to a hospital to be treated for minor injuries and later released and charged with theft of a motor vehicle and obstruction of administration of the law.
