The shop and brand identity was conceived by Dave Fletcher, a Cedar Grove resident and CEO of The Mechanism, a New York-based digital branding agency, more than two years ago. His goal? To bring a “family-friendly and wholly authentic coffee bar experience” to Cedar Grove.
According to the coffeehouse’s website:
“For the past six months, Dave, along with his friend and fellow Cedar Grove resident Nick Russomanno, built the space from the ground up — using locally sourced materials when possible — in the location previously occupied by Tony’s Train Town.”
“It’s a dream come true to be able to open this coffee joint in Cedar Grove,” Fletcher stated. “I am indebted to our friends and family who have generously given their time and efforts throughout this endeavor. I’m especially thankful to my wife Sharon and our two boys Ty and Desmond, for their patience, love and help from the start. It’s always been our focus to serve spectacular coffee and I hope we’ve built a place that will be a beacon of positivity, creativity and community.”
The coffeehouse serves a selection of breakfast, lunches and snacks. (Learn more about this local business here). It will hold a second grand opening event on Saturday, Nov. 10 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.
