Cedar Grove Company Gives WARN Notice To 79 Workers

A Cedar Grove company that invented the "first robotic pool cleaner" issued a WARN notice to 79 of its employees.

CEDAR GROVE, NJ — A Cedar Grove company that invented the “first robotic pool cleaner” has issued a WARN notice to 79 of its employees.

The WARN notice for Aqua Products, makers of the “Aquabot,” will take effect on April 1, 2019, according to the New Jersey Department of Labor.

WARN notices offer protection to workers, their families and communities by requiring employers to provide notice 60 days in advance of covered plant closings and covered mass layoffs. The notice must be provided to either affected workers or their representatives (such as a labor union), to the state dislocated worker unit, and to the “appropriate unit of local government.” (Learn more here)
