Cedar Grove Elks, Scouts Honor U.S. Flag
The Cedar Grove Elks' ceremony included help from Cedar Grove Boy Scout Troop and Cedar Grove Cub Scouts.

CEDAR GROVE, NJ — On Sunday June 18, the Cedar Grove Elks #2237 held their Flag Day and Flag Retirement Service, which included 30 members, guests and family in attendance.
The purpose of the service was to “honor the U.S. flag, to celebrate the anniversary of its birth and recall the achievements attained beneath its folds,” the Elks stated.
The Elks issued the following statement:

“Thank you to the Cedar Grove Boy Scout Troop #65 and the Cedar Grove Cub Scouts Pack #2 for helping us to perform this service. Also, thank you to Brian Hagerty and his crew who organized this service and to all the officers that performed the ritual.”
There was a BBQ held after the service for all who attended.
