Cedar Grove, NJ – Cedar Grove resident Anthony Buonomo passed away on May 2.

“Mr. Anthony Buonomo, 98, died on Monday, May 2, 2016, in Cedar Grove.

“Born & raised in Orange, NJ, Mr. Buonomo lived in Verona for 37 years and Toms River for 20 years prior to moving to Cedar Grove.

“He served as a sergeant in the US Army from 1941 to 1945.

“He worked for the Rowe International Company in Whippany as an Engineer for 50 years, retiring in 1988.

“Mr. Buonomo was a member of the Unity Club of Verona and was an avid dancer with his beloved Vita & loved his family.

“He was predeceased by his wife Vita (nee Bonanno) Buonomo and his son, Angelo. Mr. Buonomo was the beloved father of Michael A. Buonomo and his wife Karen, Anna Phillips, Anthony Buonomo and his wife Vicki and father-in-law of Catherine Buonomo Ryans.

“He is also survived by 7 cherished grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

“In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society would be appreciated.”
