Cedar Grove Police Arrest Drivers With Suspended Licenses
One person was arrested after a motor vehicle crash on Pompton Avenue Sunday, police said.
CEDAR GROVE, NJ — Police arrested several motorists this week, including one after a motor vehicle crash.
Sgt. Joseph Russomanno investigated a suspicious vehicle on Evergreen Place just before 2 a.m. Aug. 20. He noticed that the operator turned onto the street and then turned off the vehicle’s lamps, police said. The investigation resulted in the arrest of the 32-year-old male operator for driving with a suspended license. He was processed, and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
Patrolman Raymond Cassella stopped a vehicle Aug. 20 after a random plate check revealed that the operator had a suspended license. The driver, a 34-year-old male from Elizabeth, was arrested, processed, and released with a summons to appear in municipal court, police said.

Patrolman Michael Passafiume stopped a vehicle with an obstructed windshield Friday night. The driver, a 23-year-old male from East Orange, was operating a vehicle with a suspended license, police said. He was arrested, processed, and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
Patrolman Christopher Lynch stopped a vehicle with tinted front windows Saturday afternoon. The driver, a 27-year-old male from Cliffside Park, was arrested after it was determined that he was driving with a suspended license, police said. He was processed, and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.

Patrolman Dominick Buscio investigated a motor vehicle crash on Pompton Avenue Sunday afternoon. The investigation revealed that one of the involved drivers, a 38-year-old female from Union, was driving with a suspended license and suspended registration, police said. He was arrested and his vehicle was impounded. He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
Patrolman Joseph Johnson stopped a vehicle with tinted front windows, Monday morning. The driver, a 41-year-old male from Paterson, was arrested after it was determined that he was driving with a suspended license, police said. He was processed, and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
