The service is free and anonymous, with no questions asked, police said.

CEDAR GROVE, NJ — Cedar Grove residents can get rid of unused, unwanted, and expired medications during it's bi-annual Operation Take Back Oct. 26.

People can bring their medicine to the Cedar Grove Police Department from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

"Prescription drug abuse is rapidly becoming one of our nation's greatest emerging drug problems, and it is widely recognized that a majority of abuse prescription drugs are obtained from home medicine cabinets," said Lt. John Kennedy.
