Essex County Computer And Electronics Recycling Day: 2018 Event

See a list of items that will be accepted at the 2018 Computer and Electronics Recycling Day in Essex County.

CEDAR GROVE, NJ — The Essex County Utilities Authority will host its 2018 Computer and Electronics Recycling Day on Saturday, May 19, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The event will take place at 125 Fairview Avenue (next to the Old Hospital Center) in Cedar Grove. Commercial and “large quantity users” may not drop off items. (Learn more about this event here)

According to the ECUA website, Essex County residents who are unable to bring electronic items to the Computer and Electronics Recycling Day can deliver their items free of charge to Advanced Recovery, Inc., 50 Grafton Avenue, Newark. For more information about the vendor call 973-485-9100.

Smoke detectors and carbon monoxide alarms will not be accepted; these products should be returned to their manufacture, officials said.

Acceptable items include: Computers, Monitors, Printers, Fax Machines, Scanners, Telecom Equipment, Speakers, Televisions, Keyboards, Mainframes, VCRs, Stereos, DVD Players, Toasters, Irons, Cellular Telephones
