Dude Plays Spoons For Kids At Cedar Grove Library (VIDEO)

CEDAR GROVE, NJ — Transforming a set of silverware into a musical instrument, New Jersey’s own “Spoon Man” turned out a spirited performance for an audience of local families at the Cedar Grove Public Library earlier this week.
On Wednesday, Jim Cruise – otherwise known by his stage name of “The Spoon Man” – visited the Cedar Grove library as part of the finale to its 2018 Summer Reading season. During his appearance, Cruise put on a hilarious interactive comedy show for kids – and adults – in the audience. One audience member summed up the performance in two words: “great show.”
And yes, a stirring spoon number was part of the gig (story continues below video).

According to his online biography, Cruise has been playing the spoons for more than three decades. Even more unusual, the married father of five is able to support his family by putting his unique musical gift to work.
