Essex YMCA Brings Back Free Memberships For 7th Graders: Cedar Grove, Verona Kids Eligible

The Montclair YMCA is offering free memberships to 7th graders in Bloomfield, Cedar Grove, Clifton, Glen Ridge, Montclair and Verona.

ESSEX COUNTY, NJ — The YMCA of Montclair is trying to make “7” a lucky number.

The YMCA of Montclair's Park Street Branch recently announced that it will be bringing back its 7th Grade Initiative, a free school year offering which includes memberships to 7th graders in Bloomfield, Cedar Grove, Clifton, Glen Ridge, Montclair and Verona.

“We work hard to expand our offerings for youth and teens, because if we can capture a healthy lifestyle while they’re young, it could stick for life,” said Jo Ann Short, CEO of the YMCA of Montclair.
