McEvoy, Tamburro, Holland Lead In Verona Municipal Election 2021
Mayor Jack McEvoy is the top vote getter, with 25.91 percent of the votes, according to unofficial results.

VERONA, NJ — The current town mayor and two first-time candidates are leading in Tuesday's race for the three spots open in the Verona Town Council, according to unofficial results.
Mayor Jack McEvoy is the frontrunner, with 25.91 percent of the votes. His current term as mayor ends July 30.
With the second spot in total number of votes counted so far is Christopher Tamburro, with 21.59 percent of the vote, followed by Cynthia Holland, with 19.26 percent of the vote. Both would be new to the governing body.

A total of five people ran for the three seats on the Verona Town Council, including also Michael Nochimson and Jason Hyndman.
Voter turnout for different towns across Essex County was 12.86 percent, out of 37,568 registered voters.

Results will not be official until they are certified by Essex County Clerk Chris Durkin.
