Southern Essex County Should Expect Traffic, Delays Due to Obama Visit

Obama will be touching down at Newark Liberty Airport today, which will create delays in southern Essex and northern Union counties.

The President’s visit will affect major highways in the area, as well as local roads, especially those with overpasses over main roadways. Temporary road closures should be expected.

The time he will arrive and route Obama will be taking has not been disclosed due to security reasons. Signs will be placed to warn commuters of upcoming traffic, and local and state police will be assisting in directing traffic.

Commuters should check 511 in advance before hitting the road.
