Verona Baseball, Softball Opening Day Parade Will Affect Traffic

VERONA, NJ — UPDATE: According to Verona officials, the weather forecast has changed the route of the parade. The Little League Parade will run from Porcello Lane (entrance to Verona Park) to the Town Hall Civic Center. Bloomfield Ave will be closed from Cumberland Ave to Grove Ave for approximately 1 hour. The Verona Baseball and Softball League will hold its annual Opening Day Parade on Saturday, April 6 at 9 a.m.

According to a town advisory, the route this year will be from the Town Hall Civic Center to Everett Field. Bloomfield Avenue will be closed from Grove to Pompton avenues for approximately an hour.

Commuters should expect delays and plan an alternate route, authorities said.
