Verona, Cedar Grove Coronavirus Updates: Case, Death Totals
COVID-19 continues to take a heavy toll in Verona and Cedar Grove. Here are the latest case/death totals.
VERONA, NJ — Death and case totals continue to rise in Verona and Cedar Grove as the new coronavirus spreads throughout the state.
On Tuesday morning, Essex County officials released the latest COVID-19 counts for the two townships:
- Verona - 72 cases, 5 deaths
- Cedar Grove - 153 cases, 15 deaths

County officials noted that the number of infected individuals in any municipality is likely to be "much greater than indicated," as the data only includes persons who have been tested and whose lab results have been reported in the state’s database.
