Verona, Cedar Grove Fireworks Shows Return For 2017

VERONA, NJ — The townships of Verona and Cedar Grove have announced plans for their 2017 fireworks celebrations. Both events will take place on Thursday, June 29 this year, according to municipal flyers.

VERONA

The Verona 2017 Fireworks celebration will take place at the Verona Community Center Complex at 880 Bloomfieled Avenue.

DJ entertainment begins at 7 p.m. and fireworks begin around 9:20 p.m., officials said.

According to the township:

“Parking is limited so people are encouraged to walk. Limited handicapped parking will be available in the Liberty Field lot. Additional parking will be available at 799 Bloomfield Avenue and Cemeco at 100 Pine Street… Seating on Liberty Field for blankets and beach chairs only. No four-legged chairs will be allowed on the field (ie: no fold-out camping chairs). No food or drinks are allowed on the field.”

CEDAR GROVE

The Cedar Grove 2017 Fireworks celebration will have a rain date of Friday, June 30, and will take place at Panther Park Field.

Gates open at 6 p.m., and the fireworks display begins at dusk. From 6 to 7 p.m., there will be a concert performance by The Suyat Band playing “oldies but goodies.” Additional attractions will include a live DJ, balloon artists and face painting.

The Cedar Grove High School’s Black and Gold Club will have refreshments and glow items for purchase.

There will be a “suggested donation” on entry, organizers said.
