Verona Eats: Local Spots and Restauranteurs Nominated For N.J. Awards

Verona will have a hometown connection to root for in the first Garden State Culinary Arts Awards.

VERONA, NJ — Verona will have a hometown connection to root for in the first Garden State Culinary Arts Awards.

According to the Garden State Culinary Arts Awards, Ariane Duarte of Ariane Kitchen & Bar in Verona was nominated in the Outstanding Chef category.

All candidates in the competition will receive votes from 100 independent judges around the state, including journalists, food writers, cookbook authors and other culinary experts. The top three vote-getters in each category will be announced publicly in April, and after a follow up vote, the final winners will be announced on Saturday, May 6, during a ceremony presented by Buy-Rite Liquors.
