Verona resident Carmine Prezioso Jr. passed away on Jan. 2.

“Carmine Prezioso, Jr., 76, of Verona, N.J., went home to be with the Lord on January 2, 2016.

“Born in Newark, N.J. to the late Carmine, Sr. and Rose Prezioso, he lived in Belleville, N.J. and Nutley, N.J. before settling in Verona over 40 years ago. He was the owner of Prezioso and Sons Butchers, Belleville, N.J. prior to retiring. An active member of his faith, he taught Growth Group at Brookdale Baptist Church, Bloomfield, N.J. and was a member of Calvary Church and a part of its fellowship group.
“Predeceased by his parents and brother, George, he is survived by his wife, Theresa Marie (Vitale); children, Carmine C., Michelle, and Maria DeAquino (Paul); grandchildren, Nicole McCarron, Danielle and Anthony Prezioso, and Nicholas and Joseph DeAquino; and great-grandchildren, Ariana and Nico McCarron.
