Essex County resident Raymond Cannara passed away on March 8.

“Raymond C. Cannara, 79, of West Caldwell, peacefully passed at home surrounded by his family on March 8, 2016. Relatives and friends are invited for a memorial service on Saturday, March 12th at 11:30 am in the Mausoleum Chapel at Gates of Heaven Cemetery, 225 Ridgedale Ave., East Hanover, NJ 07936. “Born and raised in Roseland, in 1954 he joined the Air Force where he graduated at the top of his class and honorably served four years stationed in France. He married and settled in West Caldwell almost 50 years ago. Ray owned and operated Warehouse Piano in Verona for 38 years. He had a passion for pianos, enjoyed cooking, traveling abroad with his daughter, and spending time with his family and friends.
“He is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Myra Ann (Timberlake) Cannara; devoted children, son, Christopher Cannara and wife Maxine and daughter, Cynthia Cannara; cherished grandson, Cameron and his dear siblings, Richard Cannara and Kathleen Masucci.
