Verona Police Holding Bicycle Rodeo To Teach Kids About Safety
There are two dates scheduled, May 16 and 23. The event is open to all Verona residents in the second to fourth grade.

VERONA, NJ —The Verona Police Department is hosting a bicycle rodeo to teach kids about safety guidelines when riding a bicycles.
Students will learn about turning, signaling, yielding, and stopping, among other important safety aspects to keep in mind while on the road.
There will be two dates, May 16 and 23, open to all Verona residents in the second to fourth grade. Hours vary per age group.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, group numbers will be limited to 24 kids per session. Registration will open May 5 at 10 a.m, online with Community Pass. Any questions about the event can be emailed to Alyssa.Kirby@veronapolice.org.
Kids must bring their own bicycles and helmets are mandatory. They must also able to ride on their own without training wheels and wear a mask, bright clothes, and sneakers.
