Verona Restaurant Has New Head Chef: CIA Grad, World Traveler
A Verona restaurant celebrating its second year of business in the township has a new head chef in the kitchen: Charles Mullen.

VERONA, NJ — A Verona restaurant celebrating its second year of business in the township has a new head chef in the kitchen: Charles Mullen.
Mullen, a New Jersey native, recently took over executive chef duties at Zaferon Grill in Verona. (Learn more about this local business here)
According to a statement from the restaurant, Mullen – a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America – previously worked at Elements in Princeton and The Ryland Inn, where he studied under acclaimed chef Craig Shelton and specialized in seasonal cooking and farm-to-table cuisine.

A world traveler who was trained in French cooking techniques, Mullen has absorbed culinary lessons from London, Paris, Montreal, San Francisco, Chicago, Seattle, Portland and Boston.
