Verona Restaurant Fuses French And Korean Influences

VERONA, NJ — Several Verona officials were on hand to welcome the town’s newest restaurant, Bloom, during a grand opening ceremony last weekend.

On Saturday, Bloom – a “New American” restaurant that boasts French and Korean influences – held a grand opening event at 648 Bloomfield Avenue. On hand at the ceremony were Mayor Kevin Ryan, Council Member Alex Roman, Chef Woo, Chef Joann, Council Member Jack McEvoy and Director of Administration and Economic Development Steven Neale.

According to the restaurant’s website:

“Chef Woo and Chef Joann met while studying together at the French Culinary Institute in New York and bonded over their similar backgrounds. Over the years, they have remained strong friends cemented by their shared passion for fusing classic French, Korean and American cooking ingredients and techniques. And in the Spring of 2019, they finally decided to bring to life years of conversations, ideas, hopes and dreams by opening BLOOM.”
