West Orange Teen Charged in Seton Hall Prep Grad's Killing Was Out on Bail
Eric Williams was arrested in May for an alleged robbery and assault in West Orange.

One of the West Orange teens charged in the slaying of a Seton Hall Prep grad was out on bail at the time of the killing.
Eric Williams, 18, posted $50,000 bail on May 24 after being arrested on May 14 for an alleged iPhone robbery and assault in West Orange, according to The Star-Ledger.
The Essex County Prosecutor’s Office on Monday said Williams was one of three men involved in the killing of Brendan Tevlin, 19, of Livingston, during an apparent robbery on Northfield Avenue on June 25.

Williams was the wheelman as Ali Muhammad Brown, 29, of Seattle, Wash., and Jeremy Villagran, 19, of West Orange, hopped out of the vehicle and confronted Tevlin who was stopped at a traffic light at Northfield Avenue and Walker Road, the prosecutor’s office said.
Brown, a registered sex offender who is awaiting extradition for a Seattle double homicide, fired 10 shots in Tevlin’s SUV, striking the teen eight times, according to the prosecutor’s office.
