40 Lives Potentially Saved Thanks To Warren Police Blood Drive
The 2nd annual community blood drive, with RWJ University Hospital – Somerset, was held on Thursday and was completely booked with donors.

WARREN, NJ — More than 40 people will receive lifesaving treatment thanks to the Warren Township Police Department's recent blood drive.
The second annual community blood drive, with RWJ University Hospital – Somerset, was held on Thursday at police headquarters and was completed booked with donors.
"Each donation has the potential to save two lives, so we're grateful to say that because of this drive over 40 patients will receive life-saving treatment," said RWJ University Hospital – Somerset Transfusion Services Supervisor Silvia Arango.

Community leaders and police officers attended to donate blood and support the event.
"We were happy to be able to host another community blood drive with RWJ University Hospital – Somerset. Their staff is always professional and does a great job. With this being our second year hosting, we hope to continue this annual tradition to provide people with a local, safe place to donate blood for those in need," said Warren Police Chief William Keane.

"Warren Township is always happy to open our facility for such a worthwhile cause. I was happy to be able to attend the event to support our local hospital and I am grateful to all those who came out and donated," said Deputy Mayor Vic Sordillo.
"Community events like these, where different local organizations get together to help people, are always important and I was glad to donate," said Watchung Hills Regional High School Superintendent Dr. Elizabeth Jewett.
