Fate Of Warren, Bernardsville Kings Food Markets Still Unclear
The Kings in Gillette will permanently at the end of this week. Buyers are still being sought for the Warren and Bernardsville locations.
WARREN, NJ — The fate of the Kings Food Market in Warren and Bernardsville remains unclear as the company announces the Gillette location is set to permanently close.
"The Gillette store is closing this week," said Kim Yorio, spokeswoman for Kings. "The Gillette Associates have all been offered roles in other Kings stores if they want them."
The Warren and Bernardsville locations are still being marketed to be sold to a potential buyer, according to Yorio.

However, if a buyer is not found by the end of the year both will permanently close.
The closures come after Acme Markets, Inc. purchased 19 Kings locations — this did not include the Warren, Bernardsville and Gillette. Read More: Kings May Close Warren, Bernardsville, Gillette Stores

The 19 Kings stores that were sold to Acme will continue to operate under the Kings name, Yorio said.
Some of those stores include Bedminster Township, Morristown, and Whitehouse Station.
