Hero's job: Business

Reason for recognition: Frank Levine truly exemplifies being a Warren Township hero. Frank and his family have lived in Warren for 37 years. Frank is 2nd Lieutenant of Warren Township Rescue Squad as well as 2nd Lieutenant of Warren Township Fire / Police Unit.

One thing to know: Frank began by joining the Warren Township Fire /Police Unit. This unit helps protect and give aid to the Fire Department and Police Department. It also helps Warren public in emergency conditions. Frank next joined the Warren Township Rescue Squad to help local residents when they are sick or injured.

Throughout the years, Frank has personally sacrificed while he was volunteering, missing birthdays, anniversaries, and other family events so he could be there for the Warren Township community.

When he was called, Frank came. When citizens were being victimized, he stepped in and stopped it. When individuals were on their last breath, Frank gave them another and another, as many as it took to keep them alive. When children were scared, he comforted them. He consoled families when loved ones passed away. Frank has put himself in harm's way for the safety of his town. Frank Levine has helped save lives.

For example, a few years ago, Frank sprung into action on Route 78 in Warren when a pickup truck rolled over. The passenger was ejected, flew over 50 feet and sustained serious injuries. Fortunately, Frank was traveling on Route 78 behind this vehicle. He stopped and got from his vehicle his emergency medical bag. Frank provided life-sustaining care until the emergency rescue helicopter landed on Route 78 and transported the individual to the hospital. This is just one example of countless times Frank has helped others.

It is just not Warren that Frank helps. He serves as an Emergency Communications Officer for the State of New Jersey, Northern Territory. "Hometown Hero" sums up who Frank Levine is.

Thank you for all you do, Frank!
