Happy Mother’s Day To Kathleen Ann Prayias
"From going out to shop to just talking after school, I always have fun with her."

In celebration of Mother's Day on Sunday May 13, we asked Patch readers to write a letter to their mother and let us deliver it. This is Grace Anna Prayias' letter to her mom:
Hello. My name is Grace Anna Prayias, and I am 10 years old. My mama, Kathleen Ann Prayias, is the kindest, most lovable, funniest and smartest person in the world. She is totally awesome!
The first reason why my mama is the best mama in the world is because she is kind. She helps me with everything, including my homework, which takes hours to do! She checks my work and helps me on problems that I am having trouble with. She is patient with me, even when I do something wrong.
Also, she loves to spend time with me. From going out to shop to just talking after school, I always have fun with her. Mama takes care of me so much! She has written me notes in my lunch bag every day for five years.
The last reason why she is kind is because she helps me when I am sad. When my grandmother had cancer, Mama took off from her very important job to spend as much time as she could taking care of her. When my grandmother died, I cried for a long time, and when my mom hugged me, I would feel better right away.
The second reason why Mama is the best mama anyone could ever have is because she lovable. She always loves to have a morning hug, and it puts both of us in a good mood for the rest of the day. Also, we have the "I love you more!" war, where the last one to say, "I love you more!" before the other person leaves wins. She always loves me, whether I am good or not.
The third reason why my mama is the best is because she is funny. She always has a funny story to tell, and I get a lot of funny lines from her. For example, when someone says, "So?" I say, "Buttons!" (Get it?!) When I am sad, she always cheers me up by telling me a funny joke.
The last reason why my mama is the best is because she is smart and intelligent. She checks my math and helps me figure out problems by going through them step by step with me. Also, she has a very important job that requires a lot of patience and a lot of knowledge. She was the first one out of all of her brothers to graduate from college.
Mama is all of the things you would call an awesome mama, but most of all, she is my Mama!
