JCP&L Ready For Major Winter Storm in Warren

"We are monitoring the storm and gearing up."

Warren, NJ -- As a major winter storm is predicted to hit our area hard on Friday, power company JCP&L is “monitoring the storm and gearing up.”

JCP&L covers a large area of Somerset County including Warren Township which has 5,295 customers.

The power company has a meteorologist on staff, who is closely monitoring the storm, said Ron Morano with Jersey Central Power & Light.

“When the time comes we will activate a storm restoration plan,” Morano said. “When the plan is in place we will centralize our restoration efforts at the command center and mobilize a crew to the area more impacted than others.”

During the storm customers can stay in touch with JCP&L’s efforts on their website to access storm information, current outages and when it will be expected to be back on.

  • Green Brook Township - 20 customers
  • Hillsborough Township - 1,057 customers
  • Peapack and Gladstone Borough - 1,153 customers
  • Warren Township - 5,295 customers
  • Watchung Borough - 87 customers
