JCP&L Ready For Major Winter Storm in Warren

Warren, NJ -- As a major winter storm is predicted to hit our area hard on Friday, power company JCP&L is “monitoring the storm and gearing up.”

JCP&L covers a large area of Somerset County including Warren Township which has 5,295 customers.

The power company has a meteorologist on staff, who is closely monitoring the storm, said Ron Morano with Jersey Central Power & Light.

“When the time comes we will activate a storm restoration plan,” Morano said. “When the plan is in place we will centralize our restoration efforts at the command center and mobilize a crew to the area more impacted than others.”

During the storm customers can stay in touch with JCP&L’s efforts on their website to access storm information, current outages and when it will be expected to be back on.

Customers can also access their own municipal page to see the number of customers in their area.

• Bedminster Township - 3,704 customers
• Bernards Township - 12,638 customers
• Bernardsville Borough - 3,481 customers
• Branchburg Township - 6,280 customers
• Bridgewater Township - 3,242 customers
• Far hills Borough - 566 customers
• Green Brook Township - 20 customers
• Hillsborough Township - 1,057 customers
• Peapack and Gladstone Borough - 1,153 customers
• Warren Township - 5,295 customers
• Watchung Borough - 87 customers
