Kings May Close Warren, Bernardsville, Gillette Stores
Kings Food Market is looking for a buyer for its stores in Warren, Bernardsville and Gillette before the end of the year.

WARREN, NJ — Kings Food Market may close its stores in Warren, Bernardsville and Gillette if a buyer is not found by the end of the year.
Kimberly Yorio, the spokeswoman with Kings, said Acme Markets, Inc. is in the process of purchasing 19 Kings locations — this does not include the Warren, Bernardsville and Gillette. The sale has not been finalized yet and is still under review by the FTC (Federal Trade Commission).
"They weren't included in the sale to Acme," Yorio said. "We have active plans to sell them to other entities. They could close but everybody is working hard to create a different outcome."

The three stores will remain open until the new year. If no buyer is found they would close, Yorio said.
The other 19 Kings stores that were sold to Acme will continue to operate under the Kings name, Yorio said.
