Overturned Car, Plow Truck Catches Fire In Somerset County
Police and Firefighters in Somerset County were busy on Wednesday night responding to calls related to the snowstorm.
SOMERSET COUNTY, NJ — Police and Firefighters were busy on Wednesday night responding to calls related to the snowstorm.
In Warren at 6:44 p.m., Samantha Cahn, 25, of Piscataway was driving south on King George Road near Cotswold Lane when she lost control in the snow, left the road, struck a tree, and overturned, said Warren Police Lt. Paul Dziedzic.
Cahn was evaluated by Warren EMS but declined being taken to a hospital.

Later that same night at 8:23 p.m., while a tow truck was removing Cahn's car from the roadway it was hit by Sanjeev Kumar, 39, of Monroe Township, said Dziedzic.
Kumar disregarded cones and a road closed sign, slid on the snowy road surface, and struck the tow truck, said Dziedzic.

No summonses were issued in either crash.
In the Bedminster-Far Hills area, a plow truck reportedly caught on fire on Interstate-78 West, according to the Far Hills-Bedminster Fire Department.
Due to the heavy snow, it took firefighters a longer time to get out to the scene.
Warren Police also helped out numerous drivers stuck in the snow.
