Power Outage Reported In Warren Following Heavy Rains

The outage is located off Mount Bethel Road near Mountainview Road in Warren.

WARREN, NJ — A power outage is being reported in Warren on Wednesday morning following heavy rain on Tuesday.

JCP&L is reporting a total of 24 residents are without power as of 8:50 a.m. on Wednesday. The outage is located off Mount Bethel Road near Mountainview Road in Warren.

Power is expected to be restored at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, according to JCP&L.

More rain and thunderstorms are expected later today as well, according to the National Weather Service.

Today: A slight chance of showers, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1 p.m. Some storms could be severe, with damaging winds and heavy rain. Patchy fog before 11 a.m. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a high near 82. Southwest wind 6 to 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent. New rainfall amounts of less than a 10th of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Tonight: Showers and thunderstorms before 1 a.m., then a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms after 5 a.m. Some storms could be severe, with damaging winds and heavy rain. Low around 58. West wind 8 to 10 mph becoming north after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent. New rainfall amounts between a 10th and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
