Residents Show Support For Warren Police With Signs
Signs supporting the police will be handed out on Sunday at the Warren Municipal Complex from 2 to 4 p.m. or until supplies last.

WARREN, NJ — Signs are cropping up in the township as residents show their support for the Warren police.
Foster Cooper, a trustee and former president of the Warren Honorary PBA, came up with the ideas for the signs after seeing them crop up in Bridgewater.
"I looked at things and there is so much turmoil and unrest in the country today," Cooper said. "It is such that many of the police departments and officers are being vilified because of the actions of a few. I proposed to the board of trustees to do something to show our support of officers."

Cooper began distributing signs earlier in the month in exchange for a donation to the Warren Honorary PBA. The proceeds raised go to support the Warren Police. In the past the Honorary PBA, a 501c3 organization, has purchased a workout room, TV, supported the police unity tour and even help get a K9 for the department.
The response to the signs has been tremendous with the first 200 signs being given out within a week. Cooper has since ordered 100 more signs. He will be distributing the signs on Sunday at Warren Municipal Complex, 46 Mountain Ave. from 2 to 4 p.m. or until supplies last.
