WARREN, NJ — Warren School Board candidate Daniel Croson is on a mission to try to personally meet with every township voter before the November election.
"I knew if I was going to run I wanted to make sure I made myself accessible to residents," said Croson. "I think voting for somebody is an act of trust. It is important for those seeking public office to earn that trust."
Croson has a background in education as he taught 4th-grade at a charter school in Plainfield and was a former Board of Education member in Carteret where he grew up.

He later moved to Warren with his wife because it is a "great place to raise a family and to live."
"One of the primary reasons we moved to Warren was because the schools were so good," said Croson.

Now on the campaign trail, Croson is making sure residents in the township know who he is. Since he announced his intention to run for the school board in March he has knocked on 750 doors and counting.
"I want to make sure residents in Warren meet me face to face," said Croson.
Croson began with going out to homes two to three days a week but will be picking that up to five to six days a week over the summer and fall.
At last count there are 5,020 registered voter households in Warren Township, Croson said.
