Somerset County Ranks in 'Top Booming Suburbs' in NJ List

Three Somerset County towns among the 'best places to live.'

Bridgewater was ranked as the "Top Booming Suburb" in New Jersey in a new survey conducted by Coldwell Banker, with two other Somerset County towns following closely behind.

For a town to be classified as a "booming suburb," the real estate agency worked with Onboard Infomatics to take into account home ownership percentage, job availability, gas affordability, safety factors, cultural and outdoor activities, median disposable income and more.

Bridgewater came in on top for the whole state, with Bernards and Hillsborough ranked second and third respectively, rounding out the top-3 with all Somerset County towns. Other towns in the top 10 include Randolph, Roxbury, Rockaway, Mount Olive, Fort Lee and Mahwah.

The "Top Booming Suburbs" survey is part of the larger "Best Places to Live" survey, which includes more than 1,500 communities in the country.

"Somerset County offers a desirable mix of quality suburban life and ease of commute to places of business across the tri-state area," said Hal Maxwell, president of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in New Jersey and Rockland County, NY. “We see a consistent influx of buyers looking to establish a home and lifestyle in Somerset County communities.”
