State of Emergency Lifted, Halloween Cancelled

Courthouse at the municipal complex has been opened as a warming and charging center.

The state of emergency that was declared in Warren Township on Tuesday by Mayor Carolann Garafola was lifted on Wednesday.

Officials also said Wednesday that Halloween trick-or-treating has been cancelled. This on the same day that Gov. Chris Christie used an executive order to move it throughout the entire state.

Officials are also telling residents that the courthouse at the township municipal complex is open as a warming and charging center. It will run from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. during the power outage.
