Thunderstorm Brings Down Wires, Closes Road In Warren

Warren Police sent out an alert around 6:40 p.m. on Wednesday with a road closure.

WARREN, NJ —A severe thunderstorm passing through has brought down wires in Warren Wednesday night.

Warren Police sent out an alert around 6:40 p.m. saying Mt. Horeb Road is closed at Mt. Horeb School for down wires.

JCP&L is reporting 41 customers are without power as of 8 p.m. Power is expected to be restored by 9:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Nearby in Hillsborough, Route 206 is also closed in both directions from Brooks Boulevard to Dukes Parkway West.

Drivers are asked to plan an alternate route.

According to the National Weather Service, some of the storms could produce small hail and gusty winds.
