Warren's Quaid Mobus who became a quadriplegic following an ATV accident in 2013, has turned his injury into something positive.

WARREN, NJ — Warren’s Quaid Mobus will once again host the "Run for Quaid 5K" on Oct. 14 to help others with spinal cord injury.

Mobus, who became a quadriplegic following an all-terrain vehicle accident in September 2013, has turned his injury into something positive through The Quaid R Mobus Foundation.

Registration fees from the race will go towards the foundation to help in their mission to raise awareness as to how spinal cord injuries are a life changing journey, not only for the injured, but for all those close to them.

Fees will also go "towards providing the adaptive handicap equipment which is crucial for a paralyzed person, it gives them a little more independence and feeling of normalcy. Unfortunately, this equipment is very expensive. It is our mission to reach out and help/guide and encourage others to 'roll on.' Life on life's terms," The Quaid R Mobus Foundation stated.

The race will be held at 9 a.m. at Watchung Hills Regional High School in Warren. Registration is $25 until Oct. 12 and then the price increases to $35. The price also includes a pasta dinner on Oct. 13.
