Warren Cancels Postponed Summer Concert
The concert featuring Ross Griswold & The Second Line that was postponed to Thursday is now cancelled due to predicted weather.
WARREN, NJ — Warren Recreation has cancelled its last summer concert of the season on Thursday, due to predicted hazardous weather.
The concert featuring Ross Griswold & The Second Line had initially been scheduled for Wednesday night and was postponed for Thursday night before being cancelled.
Heavy rain is expected to continue Thursday with thunderstorms at night along with very high temperatures this week. As a result the National Weather Service has issued an excessive heat warning through Sunday in Somerset County.

Thursday: Showers likely, with thunderstorms also possible after 10 a.m. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain. Cloudy, with a high near 85. Calm wind becoming east around 5 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 70 percent. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Thursday Night: Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly before midnight. Patchy fog after 2 a.m. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a low around 70. East wind around 5 mph becoming calm after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
Friday: Patchy fog before 8 a.m. Otherwise, mostly sunny, with a high near 94. Heat index values as high as 103. Calm wind becoming southwest 5 to 7 mph in the afternoon.
Friday Night: A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms before 2 a.m. Partly cloudy, with a low around 77. Southwest wind 3 to 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20 percent.
Saturday: Sunny and hot, with a high near 97. West wind 3 to 8 mph.
Saturday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 77.
Sunday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2 p.m. Mostly sunny, with a high near 96. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent.
