Warren Extends Outdoor Dining Through November
"We and our restaurant owners realize that many of their patrons feel more comfortable with an outside dining option," said Mayor Lazo.
WARREN, NJ — Many restaurants were afforded outdoor dining privileges when the coronavirus pandemic hit last year, those benefits will be extended in Warren through November, said Mayor George Lazo.
"We and our restaurant owners realize that many of their patrons feel more comfortable with an outside dining option," said Lazo. "Gary Dinardo and I visit each restaurant regularly and speak with the respective owners/managers. Despite north of 70 percent vaccinated in Warren and Somerset County, they told us there are still diners that like the 'option' of eating outside."
Warren Deputy Mayor Vic Sordillo agreed that "outdoor dining when done safely provides options for customers and certainly allows for the restaurants to attract a great number of diners."

During a video message to the community on Monday, Lazo encouraged residents to continue to support local restaurants in town.
"Please patronize those restaurants and shops. Obviously, they struggled in the earlier part of the year. We've tried our best to keep them open and active," said Lazo.
