Warren Soccer Player Signs Contract With NY Red Bulls
Warren native and Watchung Hills High School senior Daniel Edelman, 17, has signed his first professional soccer contract.

WARREN, NJ — Warren native and Watchung Hills High School senior Daniel Edelman recently signed his first professional soccer contract with the New York Red Bulls.
Edelman, 17, joined Red Bulls Academy in January 2020 and made his professional debut for NYRB II on July 17, 2020 against Hartford Athletic.
"We are really excited to add Daniel to our roster," NYRB II Head Coach John Wolyniec said. "We got to see a glimpse of what he can do at the USL Championship level last year, and now I think he has worked really hard knowing that he can contribute a lot to our team."

Edelman appeared in five matches for NYRB II last season. He recorded his first professional goal against Philadelphia Union II on July 22, 2020.
Prior to Red Bulls Academy, Edelman played for Players Development Academy, where he made 105 appearances and scored six goals.
