Warren Local To Perform In Play Exploring Pets
Warren local will perform in "Pets (and Their Humans)" to open July 7 to 9 at Union County Performing Arts Center Loft in Rahway.
RAHWAY, NJ — Have you ever wondered what pets are thinking about? What they would say if they could talk to you? Holmdel Playwright Mike Sockol explores this theory in his new play “Pets (and Their Humans), which debuts Friday through Sunday at the Union County Performing Arts Center in Rahway.
“I’ve always been fascinated by the ‘human qualities’ within our pets. Their intelligence, their empathy, and their passion makes me wonder how much they know and how much they are concealing from us,” said Sockol, who will also perform in the play. “So I decided to ask a more fundamental question—what would we do if they started to talk to us?”
Sockol who has two dogs and a cat, wrote Pets (and Their Humans) in 2016. It was one of 18 plays he has written since 2014.
