WARREN, NJ — Warren native and Somerset resident Paul DeSesso has decked out his truck with Grinch gear to bring holiday joy this season.

He will be stopping by the Bridgewater Promenade on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. where locals can stop by for a picture with the truck or kids may even receive a gift for free.

DeSesso said he got the idea of the Grinch mobile last year after Halloween. He had originally decorated his truck with Halloween decor and received a ton of attention.

"When I was done with Halloween last year I was kind of bummed. I would have people recording me on the road and flashing their lights and honking their horns," DeSesso said. "When Christmas came around I thought 'How can I extend this?'"

Going along with his creepy Halloween theme, DeSesso's Grinch mobile represents the Grinch before his heart grew 3 sizes.

DeSesso noted that his three Grinches in the truck do have a creepy vibe and can scare some kids a bit.

"Everything this time of year is joy this and joy that. It's fun to approach Christmas from a different angle but you still get the same end results. Kids still smile and laugh," said DeSesso.

Along with the green lights and Grinch dolls, DeSesso also has been playing the soundtrack to the 1966 "How The Grinch Stole Christmas" on a speaker mounted on the roof rack while driving around.

He has been appearing this holiday season in Bridgewater and has also made some at-home personal visits to kids in the area.

DeSesso does not charge anything for locals to enjoy his Grinch Mobile and is just looking to bring smiles to others.
